TICAH Office Warming and Book Launch
On 22 February, TICAH invited over 200 guests to the official launch of Using our Traditions and the official opening of our new offices on Riverside Lane. A vibrant group of drummers and a selection of body maps welcomed our guests who came from near and far. We had a colorful poster display of TICAH's projects and sold a healthy number of our books.

AfricaAsia InterAction - East Africa Exchange Visit
This second exchange visit to East Africa was characterized by a lot of traveling and field visits during which the group explored the two issues of sex work and community gardens and nutrition. The group traveled to Bungoma in western Kenya and Mombasa on the coast where they visited community gardens and herb projects and met with sex workers. An extraordinarily valuable exchange of information and experiences took place between our African and Asian colleagues and many practical strategies were developed from these conversations.
October 2007
Dr. Elisabeth Croll
Dr. Elisabeth 'Lisa' Croll, a long-time supporter and advisor to TICAH, passed away in October. She was the Vice-Principal of the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London, and had been founder Chair of the Centre of Chinese Studies and Head of the Department of Development Studies. A China scholar who opened the door to the study of women and children in China, and later who became an advocate for the equitable treatment of daughters throughout the world, Lisa always brought her knowledge of Asia and her interest in womenís rights and health in support of TICAH and TICAH's founder. We dedicated our body-mapping exhibition at the University of London to Lisa in recognition of her insistence on the link between scholarship and action.
November 2007
Ms. Foundation—Women and AIDS Fund Grantees Conference
Mary Ann Burris, Amina Ridhwani and Christine Oyaro were invited to attend the MS Foundation Women and AIDS Fund Grantees Conference. They traveled with a selection of body maps to Palm Springs, California where they shared their maps and their stories before running a short body-mapping workshop for all 50 conference participants. The maps and the workshop visibly moved the women and we hope that there will be future opportunities to carry on our body mapping work in the USA.
Veenadhari
Veenadhari Shenoy was a committed HIV/AIDS activist in India and a key member of TICAH's team from the start of our work. Her story is one of the treatment stories told in Nine Lives and her body map is one of those selected in Our Positive Bodies. Veena traveled widely with TICAH's to share her experiences and her story. She passed away on 2 November after a brief illness. Veena was an extraordinary woman with a wonderful vibrant energy and commitment to her work. We at TICAH will sorely miss her on our team.
