Hero Books
Hero books are comic books drawn and written by children to help them understand and express the challenges they are facing in their world. The process places the child as the hero in the narrative of his life, with its pain and problems, whatever they may be, and helps each child discover strategies for dealing with his/her situation. TICAH has begun using hero books in workshops for AIDS-affected children, and we hope to develop this work further, also including work with traumatized children whose problems may have been caused by thing beyond HIV/AIDS.
