University of London Partnership
School of Oriental and African Studies Masters Course
TICAH oversaw the design and approval of a new Master's level course at the University of London entitled, HIV, Culture, and Development. The course, which is now offered yearly to Master's level students, highlights the social, economic, and cultural contexts and experiences which shape the epidemic in the developing world. The curriculum encourages students to explore understandings of health, culture, and community, and to evaluate health interventions by taking culture into account by introducing them to a number of local projects and approaches.
