Greengrams((¼ kg); green beans (½ kg); Roscoco beans (¼ kg);
soya beans (½ kg); millet (¼ kg); finger millet (2 kg); maize (½ kg); cassava
(1 kg); wheat (½ kg); groundnuts (½ kg); njugu mawe (¼ kg); sorghum (½ kg).
Pre-roast soya beans. Add all ingredients together and
take them to be ground at a posho mill. Boil 2 cups of water and
stir in 3 tablespoons of the flour. Place over a moderate heat and
keep stirring until it reaches boiling point. Add a little honey to taste
and boil further until the porridge shows a bit of a shiny texture.
