What do you do at TICAH?
I joined TICAH in May 2018. I provide technical support to the Sexuality component that ensures Women and Adolescent girls access to SRHR information, services and advocacy. Additionally, I coordinate a Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) network in 24 countries across Africa.
What do you hope your work will do for the community you work with?
My hope is that my work will contribute to a just society where all people are treated with dignity, rights are respected and upheld.
What do you love about TICAH?
What I love most about TICAH is that the organisation provides space to openly share, try out new ideas and the genuine commitment from the organisation and staff to serve and contribution to improve the lives of the populations we serve.
Share a little about your professional background
I am a change agent and a problem solver with a strong commitment to advancing social and gender justice. I have over 16 years’ experience, in designing, implementing and managing Gender and Sexual Reproductive Health programs, tools and curricula in Kenya and across Africa. I hold a Masters degree in Project planning and Management and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology and Communication both from the University of Nairobi.
What is your favourite food?
My favourite meal is Ugali – staple food for most Kenyans, Managu (traditional vegetables) and Fish.
