Introduction

The Trust for Indigenous Culture and Health (TICAH) is embarking on a monumental celebration of its two-decade journey with the TICAH@20 short film. This film aims to celebrate the organization's transformative narrative, impact on communities, and the vibrant stories of the individuals it has served. TICAH is seeking skilled individuals or teams for the roles of Director, Videographer, and Editor to collaborate on this cinematic endeavor.

Objective

The primary objectives of the documentary production are to showcase TICAH's impactful journey, celebrate its 20th anniversary, and inspire continued support for its mission. The film will weave together personal narratives, organizational milestones, and cultural richness, contributing to a comprehensive and emotionally resonant narrative.

Director 

Scope Work:
  • Collaborate creatively with TICAH's team to align with organizational values.
  • Develop a concept and approach that ensures a coherent and engaging storytelling structure.
  • Plan logistics, including location scouting, equipment needs, and scheduling.
  • Execute planned shoots, capturing the essence of TICAH's journey and community interactions.
  • Conduct interviews with key individuals, ensuring diverse perspectives and cultural sensitivity.
  • Search through with the help of the editor our archives for videos that you could use for the film.
Post-Production Work:
  • Provide drafts for review and feedback, engaging in an iterative process for refinement.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of TICAH's mission, values, and the cultural contexts it operates in.
  • Maintain open and regular communication with the TICAH team.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders.
Expected Output:
  • A professionally directed short film of forty – sixty minutes aligning with TICAH's objectives.
  • Additional Assets: Provide insight into the creative vision and direction of the film.

Videographer

Scope Work:
  • Collaborate with the Director and TICAH's team to align with organizational values.
  • Capture the essence of TICAH's journey and community interactions during shoots.
  • Ensure diverse perspectives and cultural sensitivity in visual storytelling.
Technical Requirements:
  • Utilize high-quality filming equipment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard filming techniques.
  • Work closely with the Director to execute the planned shoots.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Maintain open and regular communication with the TICAH team.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders.
Expected Output:
  • Professionally filmed footage aligning with TICAH's objectives.
  • Additional Assets: Provide visual insights into the filmmaking process and unique elements
    captured.

Editor

Post-Production Responsibilities:
  • Seamlessly edit footage, integrating interviews, archival materials, and relevant visuals.
  • Incorporate graphics or animation elements if applicable, enhancing storytelling.
  • Provide drafts for review and feedback, engaging in an iterative process for refinement.
Technical Requirements:
  • Utilize high-quality editing equipment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard editing software.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Maintain open and regular communication with the TICAH team.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders.
Expected Output:
  • A professionally edited documentary aligning with TICAH's objectives.
  • Additional Assets: Provide insights into the editing process and creative decisions made.

Submission of Bids

Interested individuals or teams are invited to submit their proposals, including a portfolio of relevant work, a detailed project plan, and a budget breakdown. Proposals should be submitted to listening@ticahealth.org by Friday, April 19th , 2024.
