2016 TEACHING CALENDAR IS AVAILABLE

As with our previous calendars, the 2016 TICAH Community Calendar is designed to be used in classrooms, support group meetings, youth groups, community gatherings. The calendar theme is “healthy seeds/ mbegu njema.” Each month, the lead is a “healthy seed” (medicine, tenderness, humility, smile, culture, foresight, generosity, strength, responsibility, curiosity, friendship, reverence).

Each month, there is also a “healthy seed” in Kenyan laws and development funds, and a “healthy seed” in the form of an herbal remedy for a common illness or condition. The date pad is filled with events from history, biographies, and news. In the margins of each month, there are questions for discussion. The beautiful Kenyan art and photographs were donated to TICAH. The quotations are meant to inspire and provoke.

If you want to buy the calendars, they are for sale through TICAH, from The Souk Bookstore in Karen, Muthaiga Mini-mart, and the Kenya Museum Shop at the National Museum.

Anyone interested in using or supporting the TICAH Community Calendar should let us know.
