Art in the time of COVID

Did you see the Jahazi Journal special issue on art, culture and COVID? TICAH shared an article in this edition, but there are so many interesting articles, so check it out. Here is more on the edition with the link to the journal below...

This Special Issue of Jahazi is devoted to discussions on the intersection of the arts, cultures and COVID- 19 pandemic. The articles share how practitioners in arts and cultures are innovating around, or not managing, in the context of COVID-19. What are the financial, psychological and social effects on the practitioners? How is art affected? How are they creating, if at all? While some articles take a personal angle about the experience, others are in an interview format while others are more detached and analytic in their treatment of how the arts have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Together the articles give us a glimpse of personal and community experiences in the cultural and creative industries within the context of the global pandemic. This Special Issue of Jahazi is devoted to discussions on the intersection of the arts, cultures and COVID- 19 pandemic.
